J.J. Sewell and the Montgomery Academy Eagles will play Wednesday in what is now the first day of the FCA Jason Armstrong Baseball Classic at Riverwalk Stadium. (Staff Photo) Staff Report The first day of the FCA Jason Armstrong Baseball Classic has been rained out. Two games were scheduled for Riverwalk Stadium. The games between Alabama Christian Academy and Trinity as well as LAMP and St. James have been rescheduled, according to event director and local FCA chapter director John Gibbons. “We want to get these games in,” Gibbons said. “With this weather, it makes it tough. It may not rain tonight but the wind will be blowing and I don’t think there are too many players who want to be out there in 38-degree weather.” St. James and LAMP will make up their game on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Paterson Feld. The ACA-Trinity game will be played at a date prior to the FCA Banquet, which is scheduled for March 22. Games on Wednesday are scheduled at Riverwalk with St. James scheduled to play Marbury at 4:30 p.m. and Catholic to face Montgomery Academy at 6:30 p.m. |
