AISA Elite Eight basketball tournament scheduled for Friday has been postponed and split up over the course of three days, according to executive director Don Oswald.

Friday’s scheduled had featured quarterfinal action in Class AA and AAA. Games in AA have been moved to Saturday evening and Monday while all AAA games will be played on Tuesday.

All games have been moved to Huntingdon College’s Dixon Arena.

“We are trying to get ahead of any weather that might cause travel problems,” Oswald said. “I hope this is it. We are supposed to be out of this by (Saturday).”

Escambia Academy and Autauga Academy girls will play Saturday following the completion of Huntingdon College’s game against Maryville, approximately at 7 p.m. The boys’ game between Southern Academy and Springwood will follow at 8:30 p.m.

On Monday, the remaining Class AA games will be played with three girls’ games and three boys’ games.

All Class AAA games will be played on Tuesday.

Games slated for today (Thursday) are still on schedule. The AISA Finals are also still scheduled to begin next Wednesday at Huntingdon College

12 p.m. – Bessemer Academy vs Fort Dale Academy
3 p.m. – Kingwood Christian  vs Glenwood
6 p.m. – Lee-Scott vs Tuscaloosa Academy

Class AAA Boys
10:30 a.m. – Lee-Scott vs Bessemer Academy
1:30 p.m. – Tuscaloosa Academy vs Pike Liberal
4:30 p.m. – Fort Dale Academy vs. Prattville Christian
7:30 p.m. – Macon-East vs  Morgan Academy
