Allie Converse squeezed home Brandi Richards with the winning run in game two as the two teams battled back and forth. AUM jumped out to 3-0 leads and 6-3 leads only to see the home team come back and even the score. Monica Hatcher had a RBI single in the top of the ninth to give AUM a 7-6. Webber would take advantage of an AUM error with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to again even the score. That would lead to Converse’s heroics in the 10th. Stephanie Baxley (5-3) pitched the final four innings in relief of Danielle Ryan to pick up the win. She only allowed the one unearned run on one hit and had six strikeouts. Converse had two hits, including a two-run homerun in the third inning and finished with three RBI. Hatcher also had three hits as did Sara Allen. Game one was a pitching contest but the Lady Senators came out on the short end of the decision. Richards went the distance in the loss allowing two runs, one earned, four hits and struck out four. AUM’s lone hit was from Joanna Reynolds. AUM moves to 17-8-1 on the season while Webber is now 18-11.
