MELBOURNE, Fla.—The Auburn University at Montgomery tennis teams completed their week-long road trip today at Barry University.  Both teams were able to finish the road trip with impressive wins as the men defeated Barry 6-3 and the women completed the sweep with a 7-2 victory.

AUM won two of the three doubles matches to begin play, and won four of the six singles matches to wrap up the win against the second-ranked team in the NCAA Division II.  The singles winners for AUM were Alberto Romea, Sadio Doumbia, Michael Johnson and Bence Toth.

The men remain undefeated pushing their record to 13-0 while Barry’s men are now 13-2.

The Lady Senators went into the match with a full team of six players, something they had not been able to do in the two previous losses this week.  The full team showed what a difference it can make as the Lady Senators pulled off the big win over the second-ranked NCAA Division II team.

AUM won all three doubles matches and won four of the six singles matches.  The singles winners were Ana Veselinovic, Whitney Byrd, Nathalie Sienkob and Parija Maloo.

The women break a two-match losing streak and move to 8-2 and Barry falls to 10-2.

Both teams will be off until Wednesday, March 24th when they play at NCAA Division I South Carolina State University.  The matches are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
