Huntingdon women finish fifth at Piedmont Spring Invitational

Contributed CLARKSVILLE, Ga. —- The Huntingdon women’s golf team moved up a spot in the standings to finish fifth, after carding a final-round score of 379 at the Piedmont Spring Invitational on Tuesday. Methodist earned the team championship, posting a two-round total of 669. Piedmont finished second with a total of 722, while Ohio Dominican placed third with a 726. Huntingdon finished with a two-day total of 779. Sophomore Tiffany Lovvorn paced the Lady Hawks in the final round with a 90, finishing with a total of 194. Freshman Ali Hamil was the top finisher in the tournament for Huntingdon, carding a two-day total of 193. Sophomores Alex Foster and Amanda Houston each bettered their opening-round score, as Foster posted a 94 in the final round and Houston carded a 97. Freshman Sarah Senter rounded out the scoring the Huntingdon with a 114 in the final round and a two-day total of 213. The Lady Hawks will return to action on March 19-21, when they participate in the Jekyll Island Collegiate, hosted by Oglethorpe. Team Results Hawks Individual scores
