AMERICUS, Ga.– Beau Parker singled home Trent Dooley with two outs in the 12th to lift Georgia Southwestern State University to a 7-6 win over Auburn Montgomery in collegiate baseball action.  It was the second straight 12 inning loss for the Senators.

GSW jumped out to a 6-2 lead before AUM scored three runs in the top of the seventh to cut the lead to one.  AUM was able to send the game into extra innings when Todd Cherry doubled home Charles Lester in the top of the ninth.

The score stayed that way until the 12th when Dooley led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice.  After a error moved Dooley to third, Parker came through with the two-out single.

Both teams had 11 hits  as Cherry finished with three and two RBI and Sam Judah also had two RBI.  Matt Arrighi, Justin Williams and Charles Lester had two hits each.

Tanner Gordon (0-3) picked up the loss even though he did not allow a hit in 2.2 innings of work.  The walk was the only base runner he allowed.

Parker led GSW’s offense with three hits and two RBI.  Bud Long had three hits and an RBI and Dooley also had three hits and scored three runs.

The Senators are now 24-19 overall and GSW moves to 24-16.  The Senators will host William Carey tomorrow at 5 p.m. in the final home game of the season.
