NORTH-SOUTH BASEBALL GAME RAINED OUT

Staff Report HUNTSVILLE – Tuesday’s baseball doubleheader in the Alabama All-Star Sports Week has been rained out. Officials with the Alabama High School Athletic Association announced early Tuesday afternoon that the thunderstorms which dumped heavy rains on Joe Davis Stadium would cancel the game between the North and the South, scheduled for a 4 p.m. start. The Huntsville Stars are scheduled to play Wednesday against Mississippi which rules out any chance of the doubleheader being rescheduled. Players from the River Region who were scheduled to particiapte included Trinity’s Blake Barrow and Josh Watkins, Davis Knapp and Trey-Cochran Gill of Tallassee and Bradley Roney of Wetumpka. All-Star Sports Week continues on Wednesday with the All-Star Softball doubleheader scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. |
