Hornets back on practice field; Media, Fan Day set for Saturday
|
Contributed Alabama State University head football coach Reggie Barlow led the Hornets through a night practice after taking off on Wednesday. The Hornets spent several periods working on extra-points and field goals with kicker Andrew Lyons taking on all of those kicking responsibilities. Lyons was a perfect three-for-three in extra points in last week’s scrimmage and also connected on his only field goal attempt. The offense continued to work on their timing and tempo and also spent time getting in and out of the huddle in a quicker fashion. The offensive line and the defensive line did a lot of work on the sleds while the defensive backs took their turns on the sleds as they worked on using their hands against the sleds. The Hornets will hold an afternoon practice Friday with a 3 p.m. start time. ASU’s final preseason scrimmage will take place on Saturday at Hornets Stadium and will begin at 9 a.m. Media, Fan Day set for Saturday Alabama State University will host Fan/Media Day for the fall sports on Saturday at 5 p.m. The event will be held at Hornets Stadium.
