KODAK, Tenn.- The Montgomery Biscuits (11-15) used a season-high 14 hits including a two-run home run from Kyeong Kang in the top of the eighth inning to earn a 6-5 comeback win over the Tennessee Smokies (11-15) Tuesday night at Smokies Park.

WTLS to carry Crimson Tide Sports Network broadcasts

Beginning this Fall, 1300 WTLS/106.5 FM will become an affiliate of the Crimson Tide Sports Network.  WTLS carried University of Alabama football games in the 1980s.   The announcement came Tuesday by station owner Michael Butler.

Faulkner falls to Lee in SSAC tourney final

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Fifth-ranked Lee took advantage of a depleted Faulkner pitching staff, breaking open a scoreless tie in the middle innings and racing away with a 13-0 victory over the third-ranked Eagles here Monday night in the championship game of the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament at Golden Park.

COLUMBUS, Ga. - A long day ended on a positive note for the Faulkner baseball team. The third-ranked Eagles, who beat Auburn Montgomery here Saturday morning, finished off Southern Poly 14-3 just after midnight to remain alive in the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament at Golden Park.

Montgomery (10-15) brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the  ninth before dropping its fifth-straight game with a 5-3 defeat to the Birmingham Barons (14-11) in the series-finale Sunday afternoon at Riverwalk Stadium.

Huntingdon sweeps GSAC titles

LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon baseball team did it the hard way on Sunday. The Hawks lost to LaGrange 6-5 in the first game on Sunday before coming back to win 17-9 in the second game to win the Great South Athletic Conference tournament championship.

City rivals collide today in the second round of the AHSAA state baseball tournament.

In Class 4A, St. James will play host to Alabama Christian Academy while LAMP will entertain Trinity in Class 3A at Paterson Field.

The two series are best of 3 with a doubleheader on Friday. The “if” game will be played on Saturday.

COLUMBUS, Ga. —- William Carey scored five times in the first four innings to take the wind completely out of the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team, as the Warhawks fell to the Crusaders, 5-3, Thursday in the opening round of the Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament at Golden Park… Third-ranked Faulkner rode a grand slam by Matt Parker and strong pitching from Corey Black to an 11-4 victory over Belhaven.

Barons sweep Biscuits in day-night doubleheader

Montgomery (10-11) pitchers walked eight and hit three batters in a 10-2, 7-inning loss to the Birmingham Barons (10-11) during the first half of a day-night doubleheader Thursday at Riverwalk Stadium. In the second game, the Biscuits had a short-lived 1-0 lead after one, but the Barons would take a 3-1 lead in the fourth and not look back.
