Cramton Bowl schedule opens with All-Star game

When the North meets the South in the 59th All-Star Football game next week, it begins another action-packed 2018 calendar for Cramton Bowl.

More than 30 games are scheduled for the bowl, culminating with the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game on Monday, Dec. 17.

Shaun Dion Hamilton remains upbeat about the NFL draft, even as the former G.W. Carver High standout understands he isn’t going to hear his name until the weekend.

“It’ll be like another Eddie Jackson situation,” he said. “Everybody knows I’m going to fall in the draft, probably not get drafted like I’m capable of when I’m healthy. But somebody’s going to get a steal.

The 25th Jason Armstrong Memorial Baseball Tournament begins Monday with 20 teams slated to participated. The action begins with two games at Riverwalk Stadium and games continue through Saturday at both Riverwalk and Paterson Field.

The G.W. Carver Lady Wolverines were clicking on all cylinders in Monday’s 61-41 victory over Baldwin County in the Class 6A South Sub-Regional.

That gave coach Adrian Harris and her team another trip to Dothan.
