No less than 12 games will play a major role in the playoff scenario, AHSAA or AISA, with only a couple of weeks of region play remaining.

Despite just earning two first downs in the second half, the Sidney Lanier Poets picked up a key victory over arch-rival G.W. Carver on Friday.

The Poets used two first-quarter touchdowns and a big play late to hold off the Wolverines for a 35-25 win at Cramton Bowl.
