All had MVP-type performances in Alabama’s 31-12 victory over Mississippi in the 25ht annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game at Cramton Bowl on Saturday.
But it was Daphne running back T.J. Yeldon who did most of the damage, rushing for 116 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries and adding three receptions for 37 yards to lead Alabama to its fourth-consecutive win in the series.

On Saturday, when Alabama and Mississippi meet for the 25th time in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, most eyes will be on the top quarterback in the country, according to national recruiting services.
Jameis Winston entered the 2011 season as the top prespect in the state and the No. 1 rated quarterback by most recruiting analysts. He didn’t do anything during the season to change that

Cleburne County High School running back and wide receiver Rocky Hayes has been added to the Alabama roster for the 25th Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Game scheduled to kick off Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association Director Alvin Briggs announced Monday… Unlike recent years, college coaches will be able to attend this year’s game at Cramton Bowl. According to Greg Sankey, Associate Commissioner of the Southeastern Conference office who requested NCAA clearance for coaches to attend. (MORE)

Rain was falling most of the afternoon on Tuesday but the weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the 40 players from the state who are participating in the 25th Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, slated for Saturday at Cramton Bowl.
The team went through its first two practices of the week at the John Mark Stallings Field on the campus of Faulkner University, looking to continue the winning streak against Mississippi that dates back to 2007.

As has been the case throughout the playoffs, the combination of quarterbacks Justin Thomas as Jalen Whitlow was too much for Central-Phenix City in the Lions’ 45-12 victory in the Class 6A semifinals at Stanley-Jensen Stadium on Friday.
Results for the semifinal round of the AHSAA state football playoffs on Friday. Winners advance to the Super Six championships at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Thursday and Friday.
