The senior arms of Scott Holloway and Alex Sanford helped the Huntingdon baseball team to a doubleheader sweep of visiting Hampden-Sydney on Tuesday, as the Hawks took game one, 3-1, before winning the nightcap, 9-3, at Neal Posey Field.

MT. PLEASANT, S.C.  – The Alabama baseball team used a pair of two-out rallies to post a 6-2 series-opening win over the College of Charleston on chilly, breezy night at Patriots Point Stadium.

AUBURN - Down by four runs heading to the bottom of the seventh, Auburn scored eight times on seven hits, a walk and two hit-batters in the bottom half of the frame to rally for a 14-9 win over Miami (Ohio) on Friday night at Plainsman Park.

Seniors Bryant Hall and Kyle Eller each drove in three runs to lead the Huntingdon baseball team to an 11-1 victory over Rust on Friday.

Brandon Chastain hit a grand slam and finished the game with five RBI to lead fourth-ranked Southern Polytechnic State University to a 12-3 win over Auburn University at Montgomery.

ATLANTA - Six different players drove in multiple runs and the Huntingdon baseball team blew open a tie game with 10 runs in the seventh inning, as it cruised to a 17-4 victory over Emory on Thursday at Chappell Park.

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — The No. 2 ranked Huntingdon men’s golf team finished its second spring tournament of 2010 by finishing sixth at the Callaway Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday, after carding a final-round score of 314 on the par 72, 7,057 yard Mountain View Golf Course at Callaway Gardens.

The Huntingdon softball team split a pair of non-conference games against Saint Mary-of-the –Woods on Monday, falling in the opener 4-3, while winning the nightcap, 4-2, at the Huntingdon Softball Field.

The Huntingdon men’s golf team will enter the final round of the Callaway Collegiate Invitational in fifth place, after carding an opening-round score of 303 on the par 72, 7,027 yard Mountain View Course at Callaway Gardens on Monday.

BIRMINGHAM - The Huntingdon softball team dropped a pair of heartbreakers on Sunday in the final day of the 2010 Panther Classic, hosted by Birmingham-Southern, as it fell to NAIA foe Berry, 7-4, in eight innings, while falling to the host Panthers, 2-1, in nine innings at the BSC Softball Park.

The Huntingdon baseball team scored the first two runs of the game on Sunday, but Birmingham-Southern rallied score the final 12 runs of the contest and in the process, snap the Hawks six-game winning streak, with a 12-2 victory at Striplin Field.

BIRMINGHAM – The Huntingdon baseball team continued its strong play by winning a pair of games on Saturday and extending its win streak to six games, as it defeated Arcadia, 14-8, in the opener and Mount St. Joseph’s, 11-8, in the finale at Joe Lee Griffin Field on Samford University’s campus.

DECATUR, Ga. —– Huntingdon senior Heath Miller scored a career-high 21 points in what proved to be his final collegiate game, but the Hawks could not overcome 47 combined points from Maryville’s Greg Hernandez and Eryk Watson, as they fell to the Scots, 79-71, in the semifinals of the Great South Athletic Conference tournament, hosted by Agnes Scott College.
