Pitchers Darci Smith, Mary Beth Slater and Molly Beth Presnell combined for the win in Wetumpka’s 15-5 win over East Montgomery in the Angels Sub-District tournament at Montgomery American on Friday…. AUM defeated Montgomery American, 16-7, to advance to the winner’s bracket of the Angels Sub-District tournament at Ed Thompson Park on Friday.

AUM stayed undefeated with an 18-10 win over Montgomery Gray-Red on Friday in the Darlings Sub-District tournament at Montgomery Southern League at Peter Crump.

Results and schedule for the Dixie Softball tournaments through July 31, 2010.

The Montgomery Dirtbags 10-under baseball team will participate in a tournament in conjunction with NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Neb. beginning Saturday.

The Edgewood Academy baseball program successfully completed its annual Elmore County Baseball Camp last week. It was the eighth consecutive year for the camp according to Edgewood’s head baseball coach Bobby Carr.

The camp is always for ages 5-12.

Bobby Skelton will be the featured speaker at the meeting of the Montgomery Quarterback Club on Tuesday. The Quarterback Club meets at the Montgomery Country Club on Narrow Lane Road… LPGA Hall of Famer Pat Bradley will hold a special instruction clinic on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the RTJ Capitol Hill course in Prattville… The Troy Rodeo team completed their home event, the Trojan Stampede at Pike Cattleman’s Park on Monday.
