Schools in the Alabama High School Athletic Association have been reclassified for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years, according to an announcement Wednesday by Steve Savarese, Executive Director.

Edgewood Academy baseball coach Bobby Carr will conduct the ninth annual Elmore County Baseball Camp June 7-10 at Edgewood Academy… The Auburn University at Montgomery athletic department will offer a variety of summer camps for local youth this summer, including four sessions of basketball and soccer camp, two sessions of baseball and softball camps and four days of tennis camp for children and adults.

Bobby Skelton will be the featured speaker at the meeting of the Montgomery Quarterback Club on Tuesday. The Quarterback Club meets at the Montgomery Country Club on Narrow Lane Road… LPGA Hall of Famer Pat Bradley will hold a special instruction clinic on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the RTJ Capitol Hill course in Prattville… The Troy Rodeo team completed their home event, the Trojan Stampede at Pike Cattleman’s Park on Monday.

More than 1,100 runners participated Saturday in the first-ever Montgomery Half-Marathon.

Mayor Todd Strange estimated that the event generated more than $1 million in economic impact.

The Nationwide Prep Recruiting camp is set for Saturday at Robert E. Lee High School.

The event allows football players from all ages (6-22) learn from former college and professional players while, at the same time, work out in front of scouts from colleges in the southeast.
