Steve Bailey has been named the director of sales and marketing for the Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department of Leisure Services.. Troy junior defensive end Jonathan Masaquoi announced that he will enter the 2012 National Football League Draft and forgo his senior year of eligibility with the Trojans… Auburn quarterback Barrett Trotter announced Monday that he’ll forgo his final season of eligibility to focus on a career off the field.

The New York Giants stunned the NFL world on Sunday as they dispatched of the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers 37-20 at Lambeau Field. Three former Troy Trojans all played roles in the victory which put the Giants one step closer to Super Bowl XLVI

TROY – A four minute cold stretch in the second half was the difference as UTSA took the lead and the Trojans couldn’t quite comeback in a 76-70 loss to the Roadrunners at Sartain Hall on Thursday night.

Will Weathers led the Trojans (5-6) with 23 points, 17 in the second half, and seven assists.  Alan Jones also topped out above 20 points at 21 with seven three-point baskets.

Although Troy has completed the home portion of its 2011 schedule, Trojan nation will still have two more chances to see their Trojans’ in action as they travel to WKU and Arkansas State to close out the season.

After a season seemingly filled with first-time events, a new one comes as River Region Sports’ Graham Dunn takes over the panel lead. He followed up a perfect week with another solid performance (13-2) and broke the tie with Michael Butler.

MIAMI – The Florida International Panthers (5-3, 2-2) took  the Troy Trojans (2-5, 1-3) into overtime before claiming a 23-20 win and handing the Trojans their third straight Sun Belt conference loss on Tuesday night.
