HOOVER - Chris Relf is coming into his own as the quarterback for Mississippi State.

That means expectations are growing.

The former signal caller at G.W. Carver High School continues to improve, leading the Bulldogs to an impressive New Year’s Day bowl win over Michigan earlier in the year.

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Cam Newton along with Nick Fairley and a strong Tiger defense led No. 21 Auburn to a 17-14 victory over Mississippi State in the SEC opener for both teams at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field on Thursday.
