The Tigers of West Alabama will be at Cramton Bowl on Sunday to face the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee in the annual Red Tails Classic.
Second-year coach Scott Cochran brings his team to Cramton Bowl for the showdown to open the 2026 season. It will be the fourth meeting between the two programs with West Alabama owning a 2-1 advantage.
UWA finished 5-4 in Cochran’s first season as a head coach. The former assistant at LSU, Alabama and Georgia has made a name for himself with his enthusiasm on the sidelines, particuarly in the fourth quarter when he reminded teams to “go a little bit harder” in the final quarter.
River Region Sports radio spoke with Cochran ahead of Sunday’s game with Tuskegee, which will be televised on ESPN2.
