PREP UPDATE: MA baseball tops Highland Home; Trinity soccer sweeps PCA

SOFTBALL

Prattville 13, Alabama Christian 1

PRATTVILLE -- Alabama Christian managed just three hits against the 7A Lions on Friday, dropping a 13-1 decision in the Lions Classic on Friday.

Peri Laine Holley, Anna Gleason and Emma Redmon had the hits for the Eagles, while Campbell Hammett scored ACA’s only run.

Maddie Owens suffered the loss in the circle for ACA (1-2).

 

Alabama Christian 3, Marbury 2

PRATTVILLE -- Adalee Lincoln drove in a run and picked up the win in the circle as the Eagles won their first game of the 2026 season with a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs in the Lions Classic on Friday.

Lincoln went 1 for 2 with an RBI and picked up the win in the circle after pitching four innings and allowing five hits and two runs, one earned.

Elizabeth Hall went 1 for 1 and scored a pair of runs for ACA (1-1).

 

Lee-Scott Academy 6, Alabama Christian 5

PRATTVILLE -- Campbell Hammett went 2 for 3 and scored a run and Elizabeth Hall, Chloe Childs and Emma Redmon each had hits as the Eagles lost to Lee-Scott Academy 6-5 in the season opener in the Lions Classic on Friday.

Maddie Owens took the loss in the circle, allowing six runs, two earned, on seven hits in 4.1 innings.

 

BASEBALL

Montgomery Academy 7, Highland Home 6  (9)

Paxton Haigler drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth to force in the game-winning run and give the Eagles a 7-6 win over the Flying Squadron on Friday.

Finley Haigler went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs to lead the Eagles. Hays Marks and Hudson Bradshaw each had RBIs.

Montgomery Academy starter Nathaniel Shaw went 4.1 innings, allowing just two earned runs while striking out eight. Marks threw the final 4.2 innings, striking out four while allowing no earned runs to pick up the win.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Trinity 4, Prattville Christian 2

PRATTVILLE -- Jessie Patton and Eden Alexander each scored goals for the Panthers in a 4-2 loss to Trinity at Panther Stadium on Friday.

PCA (0-1) will play host to Brew Tech on Tuesday.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Trinity 5, Prattville Christian 0

PRATTVILLE -- Prattville Christian was shut out 5-0 by Trinity in its season opener at Panther Stadium on Friday night.

PCA (0-1) will play host to Brew Tech on Tuesday.

In the junior varsity game, Landon White scored the game’s only goal with an assist from Nate Collins to give the Panthers a 1-0 win over Trinity. PCA (1-0) will travel to Wetumpka on Monday.
