AISA ALL-STATE: Buckhannon leads All-State boys team after perfect season

A quartet of Abbeville Christian players highlights the 2026 Alabama Independent School Association’s all-state boys basketball team after the Generals went wire to wire atop the Class A standings, capturing the state championship with a 24-0 record.
Senior guard Jayden Buckhannon was selected as the AISA Player of the Year after serving as the sparkplug on both ends of the court with his aggressive defensive style and 3-point ability. Buckhannon was the team’s leading scorer, averaging 18.1 points per game, along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He was also the team’s leading defender with 4 steals per game.
Making the AISA second team were teammates Ahmod Billins and Shi Crawford. Billins averaged 13.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 3.5 steals per game while Crawford averaged 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.9 steals.
Earning honorable mention selection was senior center Radarion Glover, who averaged a double double with 12.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
The Generals’ coach, Ryan Langford, was selected as the AISA Coach of the Year.
Other members of the first team included Springwood point guard Kori Key, Escambia guard Ronta Watson, Trinity Christian guard Reid House and The Oaks guard Joey Allen.
Members of the AISA all-state team were selected by ballots submitted by the organization’s head coaches.
Making the second team were Valiant Cross teammates John Cosby and John Townsley, the Abbeville duo of Billins and Crawford and North River’s Kayson Dennison.
